YesJulz Hosts Holiday Toy Drive During #HASHTAGLUNCHBAG Event

If you claim to be someone who is never not working, you haven’t met YesJulz.

This girl, who can very well be super-woman, is always on the move working non-stop on what she says is “curating cool experiences for people.”

Whether it’s hosting private events with celebrities, dancing on couches at FDR at Delano, taking the stage at music festivals or hosting charity events, Julz has stopped at nothing this year to fully succeed at her craft: entertaining the masses.

“This year has been the best year of my life,” said the YesJulz Agency founder, who manages a group of young women through her event-planning company. “I get emotional thinking about it because it’s been crazy, but definitely getting an office was a big deal for me [and] having a successful Art Basel. I always wanted to do events for special times like that. Last year I did one party and this year I did 8.”

The Miami socialite, also known for documenting her life on Snapchat, has also used her social platform to give back to the community by promoting social events such as #HashtagLunchbag – an occasion that encourages people to get together in a social setting and make bagged lunches that are later distributed to the hungry around the city.

“Thank God I have a platform,” she said. “Luckily in today’s day and age, the influencers are the gatekeepers, so I’m very blessed to have a following that kind of waits and listens to see what I’m doing.”

On Friday, Dec. 19, #HashtagLunchbag Christmas edition was hosted by Julz and Estefany Cespedes, who brought the event to Miami from Los Angeles. Close friends and invitees, arrived to Lou La Vie Luxury Car Rental for the event that included a toy drive for the children of Charles R. Drew Elementary.

“I think any time of the year is important to do [#HashtagLunchbag], and that’s why we do it every month. I think it’s important to make it a little extra special this time of year,” said Julz. “We do our part, what we can by getting some cool toys and giving them to kids that might not have had any presents for Christmas otherwise, and it’s just important to keep the holiday cheer alive.”

Dubbed as one of the most influential people of 2015, Julz believes that giving back is ultimately the essence of her #NeverNotWorking protocol.

“The only reason why I want to make money is to provide a better life for my family and for people who need help,” said the 25-year-old. “I don’t do it to just buy clothes and go to concerts. All that stuff is here today, gone tomorrow. For me it’s all about, ‘what can I do that lasts forever?’ The only thing you could do that will still be around when you leave, is make people feel good or improve someone’s life.”
