Vanessa James, founder of Vanessa James media, discusses diversity and inclusivity in marketing and how companies can go beyond the dialogue involving promises of opening more doors for black candidates in the workplace. James talks about her experiences as a woman of color and a minority in the media industry as well as the reasons why and the ways in which companies should integrate more people of colors in their board rooms as well as create dedicated teams that focus on demographics that involve black, non-black people of color and other minorities.

James provides insight on how companies can begin getting involved in shifting the paradigm of diversity and inclusion as a primary objective within every campaign.
