Is blogging back from the dead, or is it just me? With the resurgence of digital diaries and Substack’s boom some of us — and I truly mean some of us, because it’s not just me — have made our way back to our blogs. I personally didn’t delete mine, although it was dead, meaning it was offline and the URL showed as broken. Thanks to Claude and my book (yes, I co-wrote it with Claude’s help), titled Explain It Like I’m 10, I was able to get the whole site back up and running within a few hours!
I was also able to update the aesthetics and the formatting a bit to modernize it. This is boring info (I think), but some background was needed on my comeback after I stopped blogging, following my post about Kylie Jenner’s lip kits in December 2022.
A whole lot has happened since then. I still live in Miami, but other than that, I’m living a very different life. I’m working as an independent journalist now, but in between that, I worked with Telemundo as a digital strategist for their virtual channels; I was hired by La Opinión as a staff writer; I hosted a livestream show on a digital network called Básico Stream; I also began contributing to The Hollywood Reporter; and then I was hired by Billboard as a staff writer. After three months of working with Billboard, following three months of interviews for the role, they eliminated my position. In turn, I went back to where I belong: working independently, contributing to outlets I love when I want, and making more time to write and invest in my own brands — this one included.
With my comeback to blogging came the revamp of my journalism website—all of which contribute to the evolution of the Cataverse, I hope to bring more insight and stories on what I have going on, because it’s a ton! A ton with content production, AI development, journalism work, juggling multiple brands, writing hot takes on my Substack, producing social media content, and traveling the world (and documenting it here). I did say it’s a lot!

My plan is to be independent and successful, have multiple sources of income and be able to pursue my journalism freely and happily. Join me as I surf this new wave of my life. It’s going to be gnarly.
