Dwyane Wade and Udonis Haslem attended Saturday’s grand opening of the new Edition Boutique, a store that sells athletic wear and sneakers.
The retailer, now has two locations: one in Kendall and the second one located on 7450 NW 104th Ave., in Doral.
The Edition Boutique, is known to be the official U.S. authorized retailer for Wade’s signature shoes, Way of Wade, by Li-Ning. The store opened its doors at 10 a.m., offering the first ten buyers of the sneakers a picture and autograph with the Miami Heat player.
An eyewitness, said that Wade and Haslem also interacted with the public going above and beyond by exiting through the front doors into a crowd of screaming kids and fans, taking pictures and doing what they do best – shooting hoops – with the kids.
“We’re the only store in the United States that carries the Way of Wade product. So everyone comes to us for all of that,” the store’s founder Michael LoBue, told Miami Herald’s news partner CBS4.
The store also sells brands such as Nike, Adidas, Asics and Jordans.
Throughout the day, there was a raffle, where a winner took away a pair of shoes. There were also food trucks, games and a DJ.
